I'm more worried about the dismal hitting than the poor pitching.

7 games into the season, about 1/20th the way home.  Nobody's panicking, right?  Good.  But it's clearly evident that this offense will be slightly painful and frustrating to watch at times.  The lineup is stacked with really good #2 and #5 type hitters, and no real 40+ home run threat. They'll have to rely on clutch hitting, doubles, and stringing together hits -- something they really haven't done yet. So far the Sox are 27th in the league in runs, 23rd in hits, and 27th in RBI's.  The season's young, but Drew, Lowell, Ortiz, Pedroia, and Ellsbury are all batting under .210 and the only guy I have confidence in is Pedroia.  The Sox are going to need a bat.
